As i mentioned before, I'm only R5, so i have no idea what the level cap on LB is other then what i read on wiki which is r8 and sorting through this thread with the eula discussion isn't helping. I'm not arguing the correctness of anything, just simple asking if there is what it says in the article. Obviously, currently there isn't and may never be an R9 or 2 more LB skills.

They also say (on gw.com, the scribe) that the elite mission will have 4 new gem types that might have something to do with creating "spells", which could very well deal directly with LB no attribute type skills. Just pondering...

The level cap is currently at 8, Same as sunspear. The difference between the two though is it says lb 8 is the highest tier and get's awarded to your big deal title track. Does this mean that LB won't get another level? I believe it will. The only real evidence suggesting it won't is you can't reach 9 right now and it says maxed title on 8. But even knowing that I'll put my faith into gw.com then any speculator on this forum any day.

The bottom line is nobody is going to know for sure until the Elite Area can be reached.

putting your faith in gw.com would not be a good idea, id take the people on these forums any day. and R9 sunspear can be reached, as many people already have. im almost 100% positive that R8 lightbringer is max, and there is just a mistake in that article.

@Tarus: Incorrect. Maximum level for Sunspear is "Spearmarshal (9)", and it *is* obtainable. This is different from Lightbringer, which maxes at "Holy Lightbringer (8)".

yeah i'd have to agree... i put my faith in the advertising of the included elite mission and extra hero, neither of which panned out as of yet. seems like more misinformation from anet, this is becomming a bad habit on their part.

Christ. Yes, i Know that! But that's a roundabout way of achieving it. Right now it IS CAPPED AT 8. Unless you abuse the bug you cannot achieve 9. And telling me lb gets capped at 8 when I just said that in my post right above you is really frustrating. Read people. A typo in the article? Meh, the possibility is there but to say that LB gets maxed at 9 and then to say it has 4 skills is a pretty big thing to mess up on. Don't you people think that it's quite possible that the article is dropping a couple hints for ya? Now if that article was written right before the release of NF i'd probably agree they are most likely typos. But if you people are sooo certain that it's all a mistake I'd love to see you put some money where your mouth is and make a little GW gold wager with me. I'll bet up to 10 people here(100k bet ea.) That before or shortly after the elite area opens up the possibility of lb 9 and two lb skills can be accessed. PM me if you want to make that wager :P.

yeah i mean A-Net kinda brought this one on themselves...Heroes are "advanced" AI ...technically bots...That highlighted part of the EULA could easily be interpreted in such a manner that Heroes themselves might be considered "illegal."

That combined with mobs that respawn and are a necessity to kill for a title...what did they think would happen :P

In response to you Tarus, which i jsut read after posting...I can see where you are coming from and yes it sounds likely...but for those that have the title maxed now, say, and are using it as the 5th title for KOABD, which they are now able to display...there will be some seriously unhappy customers if A-Net takes this away from them.

gabrial, the elite signet isnt that bad. You get 24 energy for it at R8, way better than Mantra of Recall for example. There is NOT more than 4 LB skills out there, do you honestly believe that all the players with R8 LB havent found them yet? Right now i'm exploring with R8 LB, and have done almost all quests. There is no more LB skills.

Yeah all I'm saying is that you could interpret it that way...from the way I'm reading the EULA they aren't limiting "Automatic" play to third party programs...which is were the whole argument comes into play against AFK farming...do you need 3rd party programs to do it? no. does anet consider it "automatic gameplay"? only time will tell I suppose

no need to abuse bugs (stay in area and let thing respawn), you can get the last tier by finishing all Sunspear quests. This means you should not finish any of the quests before tier 8.

what is this trickery?....can someone please explain how exactly you get these kind of hero tricks? i would like to gain the holy lightbringer title

but now on rank 3 (gained it by fighting margonites in domain of secrets)...but this is not going so fast as some people here who claim to get 1300/h...
i just don't get it...how do the heroes keep the agro...how do you spread the foes like that??
a complete guide would be most useful, because only screenies don't do it for me.

If you already know this, then the difference between the two situations should be obvious to you.

Sunspear: rank 8 is *not* treated as the maximum rank. No addition to KoaBD, rank 9 is visible once rank 8 has been achieved.
Lightbringer: rank 8 is treated by the game as the maximum rank. +1 KoaBD, bar remains full even past 50k points, title states highest available title.

To say that Lightbringer is "like" Sunspear because they are both "capped at" 8 is entirely inaccurate, because the two titles are clearly being handled differently. As of right now, the article on the official website is incorrect.
